There is something so special about celebrating your baby surrounded by flowers, family, and so much love. My Baby in Bloom baby shower included everything from soft florals, thoughtful DIY details, and personal touches that made it feel uniquely ours.

If you’re planning a floral baby shower theme, I’m sharing everything from what I wore to the DIY bouquet party favors wrapped in personalized newspaper, plus our mimosa bar and entry decor.

My Dress

I received so many compliments on this dress! It was affordable, comfortable, and the perfect outfit for my Baby In Bloom baby shower theme!

It’s not maternity, so I would recommend sizing up a size!

DIY Baby Shower Bouquet Favors (Wrapped in Personalized Newspaper)

This might have been my favorite detail of the entire shower.

Instead of traditional party favors, I gave each guest a small DIY flower bouquet. But the most special part? I wrapped each bouquet in a custom newspaper template I found on Etsy that included:

  • Photos of my husband and I
  • Our ultrasound picture
  • Sweet little headlines about baby
  • Our due date
  • A thank you note to our guests

It looked like a “Baby Announcement Newspaper” and it made the bouquets feel so personal and meaningful.

Not only were they beautiful, but guests actually took them home and displayed them. It felt less like a favor and more like a keepsake.

Floral Plates & Napkins

The table settings were simple but perfectly on theme.

We used:

It tied everything together without being overwhelming. The floral plates instantly elevated the tables without needing tons of extra decor.

Mimosa Bar

We also had a mimosa bar (because what’s a spring floral shower without one?).

We displayed this cute floral sign!

It sat next to:

  • Champagne
  • A variety of juice options
  • Fresh fruit
  • Cute cups

It made the shower feel festive while still staying elegant and on theme.

Entry Easel Floral Display

When guests first walked in, they were greeted by our entry easel — and this was such an easy DIY.

Here’s how we did it:

  • Placed a styrofoam pool noodle along the bottom of the easel
  • Stuck faux flowers into it
  • Layered different textures and colors
  • Added a sign that said: “Welcome to My Baby Shower”

It made the entrance feel full, bright, and completely on theme before guests even stepped inside.

This theme felt:

  • Feminine but also perfect for a baby boy
  • Elegant but still fun
  • Easy to DIY
  • Perfect for spring or summer

Most importantly, it felt joyful. Like we were celebrating new life in full bloom!

This day was so special to me, and I’ll cherish these memories forever. If you’re in your baby shower planning season, I hope this gave you ideas and inspiration for your own floral celebration.
